Privacy Policy
Your privacy on HappeningToo
Last updated: September 2026
What HappeningToo collects
HappeningToo is designed to let people report whether a problem is happening to them without creating an account. When you vote, the site stores an anonymous browser identifier and your current vote for that problem.
Browser local storage
HappeningToo uses browser local storage to save an anonymous ID under the key happeningtoo-user-id. This helps prevent the same browser from repeatedly adding the same current vote to one problem.
The identifier is not intended to identify you by name and is not used by HappeningToo for advertising.
Reports and activity
Votes and report events may be stored with the problem being reported, the anonymous browser identifier, the vote state, and the time of the report. HappeningToo uses this information to calculate live counts, trends, graphs, and other community activity.
Technical information
Like most websites, HappeningToo's hosting and security providers may process normal technical request information such as IP address, browser type, request time, and network/security data when serving or protecting the website.
Service providers
HappeningToo uses Cloudflare infrastructure for website hosting, security, and database services. Information necessary to provide those services may be processed by Cloudflare under its own terms and privacy practices.
Advertising and analytics
HappeningToo does not currently intentionally use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. If advertising, analytics, or other optional tracking technologies are added later, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated.
Selling personal information
HappeningToo does not sell personal information to advertisers.
Data retention
Report history may be retained so HappeningToo can show historical trends and activity. Technical logs may be retained according to the settings and retention periods of the infrastructure providers used by the service.
Children
HappeningToo is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as HappeningToo adds features, advertising, analytics, or new service providers. The updated date at the top of this page will be changed when material updates are made.
