Current use
HappeningToo currently uses browser local storage for a functional purpose: remembering an anonymous browser identifier used by the voting system.

Why it is used
The anonymous identifier helps HappeningToo remember the current vote from a browser on a specific problem and helps reduce repeated duplicate voting from that same browser.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
HappeningToo uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance measurement. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-free and is used to measure things such as page views, visits, page-load performance, and Core Web Vitals.
Advertising cookies
HappeningToo does not currently intentionally place advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers.
Future changes
If HappeningToo later adds advertising, personalization, or other optional tracking technology, this page will be updated and any legally required consent controls will be added where required.
Clearing local storage
You can remove HappeningToo's local storage through your browser's site-data or privacy settings. Doing so may cause the site to treat your browser as a new anonymous visitor for voting purposes.
